The flight of the dragonflies is an amazing thing to witness, seeing them buzzing in all different directions. This one of a kind beautiful blue urn reflects the dragonflies in all their glory on a blue sky day.

This is a good size for holding a smaller person, or a large pet.

This urn measures 9"H x 7”W and will hold up to 125 cubic inches **.

Many, many hours go into creating this urn… after it is made at the potters wheel it is then trimmed and carved to create the footed base. The method I use to create this pattern begins with a drawing in pencil on the bone dry (greenware) urn. The penciled in dragonflies are then filled in with a wax resist. The clay is then rubbed away with a wet sponge, leaving the resist pattern raised above the rest of the surface. It is then fired twice to attain the final outcome.
