Pottery Video on Lucia Urns

Making Urns Lucy Fagella

We have all been cooped up for just about a year now with this pandemic. Not much has changed for me in my daily routine as a self employed potter. My working days are spent alone with my two studio dogs. As an introvert I’m not longing to be with people all day long anyway. This being said, I do miss people and community! Even introverts need community! Our human touch is so essential to the very core of our being. Social media can help but it’s just not the same as going downtown to a favorite gathering place, or sitting with loved ones at a holiday celebration.

I know many of you have lost a loved one during this pandemic and stare at the empty seat at the table. My heart goes out to you. Let’s all hope for better days soon.

With the pandemic we have all had time to look inward… to take a break from the rush of our daily grind. For me, I have not been able to teach any pottery classes in a year. It has given me more time to work on making pottery, testing new glazes and making videos. I just finished a video for my website. I felt the need to create a little human touch virtually. It’s just a little glimpse into making an urn. I wanted you to hear my voice, see what I look like and see the love of making that I feel when I am at the potters wheel.

So take a look and see the care that goes into the urns I make for your loved ones.

Peace.

I have been making cremation urns since 2005. It's an honor for me to make these urns to honor your loved ones. In this video I am showing one of my individual size urns being made on the potters wheel. If you would like to purchase an urn please visit LuciaUrns.com.
